The infrastructure of the future must not only be efficient, but also responsible. The project with the new metro line M5 in Copenhagen sets new standards for climate considerations in metro construction, and contributes to solving the capacity challenge in the current metro network in the capital area.
The metro line will have nine stations and will be built in two stages. The first stage is expected to open in 2036, while the second stage will open in 2045.
HaugaardBraad assists Metroselskabet I/S in connection with the environmental impact assessment, which assesses the project's impact on the environment. The environmental impact assessment plays a central role in ensuring that all decisions in connection with the establishment of the new metro line can be made on an informed basis, so that it complies with applicable EU environmental legislation.
The case is handled by partner and specialist lawyer Flemming Elbæk and lawyer Helle Ina Elmer.
